Background
Applications are now open for a journalism grant supporting reporters in Bangladesh to produce high-quality, public-interest stories on critical development priorities including maternal and newborn health, nutrition, and women’s economic empowerment and the role of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) in improving access to these services. While Bangladesh has made significant progress across several development indicators, many communities continue to face persistent barriers related to access to primary healthcare, adequate nutrition, and financial services. Journalism plays an important role in highlighting these realities, informing public dialogue, and strengthening accountability. Through this initiative, Globesight will support journalists to undertake in-depth reporting and research, engaging with communities, experts, and policymakers to produce stories that highlight both progress and remaining challenges across the country.
