Working closely with the US educational institution, Globesight undertook a deep analysis of social, political and economic influences on philanthropy, including initiatives to encourage giving and the role of the government. Strengthening foundations for impact: Deepening a strategic approach in West and Francophone Africa

The Challenge

A West African NGO sought support in developing a strategy that would integrate its numerous health area verticals for new grant-supported engagement across West Africa. The NGO sought actionable recommendations that strategically integrated its vertical advocacy activities in the region in order to impact health financing through resource mobilization, as well as health policy and awareness.

Globesight developed an integrated strategy to ensure successful engagement in West and Francophone Africa. We conducted country deep-dives, providing a comprehensive overview of Senegal, Burkina Faso, Niger and Guinea. We developed a bespoke integrated strategic framework and prioritization tool to support the rollout of the integrated grant. We provided key recommendations and a high-level implementation plan, including a resource plan and timeline.

 

The Impact

The client decided to move forward with new integrated engagement activities in Burkina Faso. The client was able to merge its diverse issue areas under an integrated approach and overarching theme, tailored to respective grant countries. Globesight also provided the client with a tailored, user-friendly prioritization tool which could be used to determine prioritized advocacy activities under the integrated grant going forward.
