Mahrukh Shahid serves as the Managing Partner at Globesight, where she holds both a leadership and lead equity position. Over the past five years, she has been instrumental in driving impactful collaborations with partners across the Middle East, South Asia, and Africa, addressing critical issues that matter. Under her leadership, Globesight is set to expand its solutions-oriented approach to foster transformative change in the Global South. Mahrukh holds a degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from Yale University and a Master's in Data, Economics, and Design of Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Hasan Hanif serves Globesight as a partner focusing on public sector engagement, sustainability, and agricultural development. He is an advisor on financial due-diligence and agricultural development projects in North America, Africa, and South Asia. Hasan was previously a consultant at McKinsey & Company in the Middle East and holds a degree in Economics and History from Yale University.
Hamid Sarfraz is serving as a Country Advisor for Pakistan at Globesight. His areas of interest include policy analysis and development, strategy formulation, sectoral capacity assessment and evidence-based monitoring, evaluation and impact assessment.
He has more than 30 years of experience in education, research, writing and program management of which more than 14 years were with IUCN in Pakistan. Through his consulting practice he has worked with donors and international organizations like ADB, Asia Foundation, DAI, Danish Red Cross, GIZ, UNDP amongst others, as well as federal and provincial governments. Hamid holds an MPhil degree in Sociology.
Md. Shahidul Haque, a Professor at North South University since 2020, teaches courses on Globalization, International Organization, Global Policy and Negotiation. He is a Senior Advisor on Migration and Humanitarian Policy at IOM Dhaka and has served as the Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh (2013-2019). He also served as a visitng professor to Jawaharlal Nehru University (2023-2024) and as Regional Representative/Director of IOM during 2001 -2012. A Fletcher School graduate, Mr. Haque has been instrumental in global migration initiatives and has co-authored a book titled “Migration Myth in Policy and Practice” (Springer, 2020).
Alizeh Fatima is currently serving as an Analyst at Globesight supporting international development organizations and philanthropic foundations across South Asia and the Middle East. She is passionate about research, innovation and evidence-based policy-making in health, digitization and service delivery. Alizeh is a Social Research and Public Policy graduate from NYU Abu Dhabi with concentrations in Economics and Public Health.
Mosabbir Hossain is a dedicated legal professional with expertise in the legal and development sector. With over four years of extensive experience in human rights, policy advocacy, and regulatory compliance, he has worked with different national and international organizations to promote access to justice, the rule of law, and social development. He previously worked as a Project Support Associate at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC)’s Global Maritime Crime Programme (GMCP) contributing to the project implementation activities in Bangladesh. His work focuses on legal research, legislative reform, and capacity-building initiatives, contributing to sustainable development and good governance.
Ifrah Maskan is a policy analyst and development practitioner with experience in research, strategy, and program implementation across national security, conflict resolution, and governance. Her work focuses on evaluating programs and translating field-based insights into actionable policy solutions. She has supported multilateral development initiatives with the United Nations in Pakistan and New York, contributing to the implementation of the UN Strategic Vision in politically complex environments across Asia and Africa. She holds a Master’s in Economic and Political Development from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), where she specialized in international conflict resolution through a human development lens.
Ankur Shrestha is a policy researcher and development consultant specializing in policy research, digital financial services, and women entrepreneurship. He holds a Master's in International Relations and Diplomacy from Tribhuvan University and a Bachelor's in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Kathmandu University.
His work includes impact assessments of digital financial services, structural analysis of agricultural value chains, and developing competitiveness measurement frameworks. He has conducted extensive gender and political economy analysis, examining electoral outcomes and socioeconomic determinants through advanced econometric methods.
Ankur has authored numerous research reports and policy briefs published by international organizations. He brings strong analytical skills in microeconometric methods, survey design, and policy evaluation.
His research interests span development economics, political economy, and demographic economics, with particular focus on emerging economies and financial inclusion initiatives across South Asia.
Talal is an Accounts Coordinator at Globesight, holding a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) in Finance. He oversees forecasting, budgeting, and monitoring the revenue and expenses. His responsibilities include preparing quarterly and annual budgets, analysing financial variances, coordinating collections, and consolidating and evaluating financial data to produce special reports and guide decision-making.
Shifa Suhail is a Business Presentation Specialist at Globesight, bringing 19 years of experience in crafting impactful business presentations across diverse sectors. Having previously worked at McKinsey & Company, she possesses deep expertise in translating complex ideas into visually compelling formats. She has graduated in Electronics and Communication and has enhanced her business acumen with a Business Basics course. She focuses on delivering high-quality visual communication solutions.
