The Challenge
An international fund sought support to devise an approach to effectively explore new GCC partnerships to mobilize large-scale funding towards its programs to make a lasting impact in the fight against life-threatening diseases.
Our Crafted Solution
Globesight developed a phased strategy to enhance the international fund’s presence and engagement in the GCC. We performed comprehensive assessments, including landscaping, benchmarking analyses, desktop research and stakeholder interviews. We synthesized data and findings, integrated stakeholder interview perspectives and devised strategy documents in the lead up to an important resource mobilization milestone. We also provided context and engagement inputs, communications advice and preparatory support for the international fund’s public and private sector engagements.
The Impact
With Globesight’s support, the client was able to confidently decide how to further build its engagement and brand in the region. The client also developed mature relationships with potential partners to capitalize on for future resource mobilization milestones.
The Challenge
An international non-profit organization (INPO) sought a strategic analysis of the relevant developmental and sociopolitical key trends in the GCC as well as a landscaping exercise to inform the decision-making process of its investment potentials in the region and inform potential partnerships.
Our Crafted Solution
Globesight developed a precise framework to assess the engagement potentials, risks and define relevant mitigation. We assessed the overall political, economic and social trends affecting the giving potential and multisectoral giving within the region, including insights on and priorities of donors against INPO’s objectives. We then reviewed the barriers, challenges, competitors and priorities of donors to inform the INPO’s decision. We also evaluated key risks and offered potential mitigating actions.
The Impact
With Globesight’s support, the INPO was enabled to confidently decide a path forward vis-a-vis a possible engagement in the region. The INPO could also leverage institutional and philanthropic donors, as well as new private sector relationships in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and UAE.
The Challenge
A UN agency sought to better understand the conditions of clean energy access in displaced settings through a global initiative aimed at convening key stakeholders across the globe and in key geographies where displacement was most prevalent.
Our Crafted Solution
Globesight facilitated consultations and convened a high-level roundtable with the Turkish private sector to discuss challenges, solutions, and potential for collaboration. We combined theories of change with real-world examples and exercises to develop insights and learnings among the stakeholders. We produced an outcomes report and supported the creation of a quarterly working group on the topic.
The Impact
Through Globesight’s convening, insights, and outcomes report, the UN agency could move forward with a new understanding of the topic and country-specific insights to drive their global initiative forward. The global initiative was scaled up with the strategic engagement of new partners and stakeholders.
The Challenge
A governmental entity sought support with planning, coordinating, and implementing an international forum focused on eliminating infectious diseases in all parts of the world by bringing together high-profile global leaders from diverse sectors and backgrounds.
Our Crafted Solution
Globesight provided planning, strategic, and operational support to ensure the forum’s success. We designed exclusive and high-level platforms to build momentum among top-tier guests toward eliminating disease and incentivizing attendance. We also convened engaging, diverse, and involved speakers with high-level and specialized participants. We then identified key lessons learned after the forum’s conclusion for future improvements and success.
The Impact
With Globesight’s support, the governmental entity successfully convened 200 government officials, bilateral and multilateral aid leaders, global health experts, and industry leaders who shared insights and best practices on how to map out, eliminate, and eradicate infectious diseases.
The Challenge
A leading US educational institution sought to better understand the scale, scope and practices of philanthropic initiatives and organizations in Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Our Crafted Solution
Working closely with the US educational institution, Globesight undertook a deep analysis of social, political and economic influences on philanthropy, including initiatives to encourage giving and the role of the government. We mapped the sectors in Kuwait and the UAE, including but not limited to models of philanthropic foundations, operational strategies and philanthropic priorities and purposes. This research culminated in the publication of two in-depth reports, highlighting challenges and opportunities.
The Impact
The two reports helped expand the limited knowledge and data available on the sector as a whole. Greater knowledge on the scope of philanthropy in the Gulf region unlocked the potential to help foundations increase their impact and facilitate more collaboration.
