A West African NGO sought support in developing a comprehensive and effective strategy to engage in Gulf countries, and in making actionable recommendations that position the NGO to strategically pursue partnership opportunities in the Gulf, including resource mobilization, innovation, advocacy, and media partnerships.

Globesight developed a multi-year strategy to ensure successful engagement in the Gulf. We conducted a detailed assessment of the NGO’s current operations and partnerships, as well as comprehensive research on the landscape in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. We developed a targeted strategy that included prioritization of partners and arcs of engagement. We developed a practical plan of action to operationalize the three-year strategy, including key milestones and required resources.

Engaging GCC funders to support the fight against life-threatening diseases

The Challenge

An international fund sought support to devise an approach to effectively explore new GCC partnerships to mobilize large-scale funding towards its programs to make a lasting impact in the fight against life-threatening diseases.

Globesight developed a phased strategy to enhance the international fund’s presence and engagement in the GCC. We performed comprehensive assessments, including landscaping, benchmarking analyses, desktop research and stakeholder interviews. We synthesized data and findings, integrated stakeholder interview perspectives and devised strategy documents in the lead up to an important resource mobilization milestone. We also provided context and engagement inputs, communications advice and preparatory support for the international fund’s public and private sector engagements.

An international non-profit organization (INPO) sought a comprehensive analysis of the global and regional landscape of Global Health centers to determine the need and rationale for the creation of a Global Child Health Center in the GCC, including the key elements and the strategy required to ensure the successful development of the Center.

We also developed a framework for determining scope, building operations, measuring impact, and potential partners.

Implementing a High-Profile, Multilateral Global Health Forum in the GCC to Fight Infectious Diseases

The Challenge

A governmental entity sought support with planning, coordinating, and implementing an international forum focused on eliminating infectious diseases in all parts of the world by bringing together high-profile global leaders from diverse sectors and backgrounds.

Globesight provided planning, strategic, and operational support to ensure the forum’s success. We designed exclusive and high-level platforms to build momentum among top-tier guests toward eliminating disease and incentivizing attendance. We also convened engaging, diverse, and involved speakers with high-level and specialized participants. We then identified key lessons learned after the forum’s conclusion for future improvements and success.

 

The Impact

With Globesight’s support, the governmental entity successfully convened 200 government officials, bilateral and multilateral aid leaders, global health experts, and industry leaders who shared insights and best practices on how to map out, eliminate, and eradicate infectious diseases.

 

Strengthening foundations for impact: Deepening a strategic approach in West and Francophone Africa

The Challenge

A West African NGO sought support in developing a strategy that would integrate its numerous health area verticals for new grant-supported engagement across West Africa. The NGO sought actionable recommendations that strategically integrated its vertical advocacy activities in the region in order to impact health financing through resource mobilization, as well as health policy and awareness.

 

Our Crafted Solution

Globesight developed an integrated strategy to ensure successful engagement in West and Francophone Africa. We conducted country deep-dives, providing a comprehensive overview of Senegal, Burkina Faso, Niger and Guinea. We developed a bespoke integrated strategic framework and prioritization tool to support the rollout of the integrated grant. We provided key recommendations and a high-level implementation plan, including a resource plan and timeline.

 

The Impact

The client decided to move forward with new integrated engagement activities in Burkina Faso. The client was able to merge its diverse issue areas under an integrated approach and overarching theme, tailored to respective grant countries. Globesight also provided the client with a tailored, user-friendly prioritization tool which could be used to determine prioritized advocacy activities under the integrated grant going forward.
